Piyush joined Loblaw as a Data Scientist for the Technology division in 2018 and transitioned into the newly formed Data Insights and Analytics division in 2019 contributing to Precision Marketing efforts. In his current role, Piyush leads a team that builds end to end Machine Learning algorithms for targeting customers from a range of Loblaw products and initiatives. Piyush has formerly worked in omnichannel projects in the Retail industry as well as led Social Media Analytics for a few Non-profit organizations back home in India. He also enjoyed working as a Tech Lead for an Auto Classifieds startup, growing the company from scratch before he came to Canada to pursue a Masters in Analytics from Schulich School of Business in 2015. Piyush is currently interested in stock investing for EV and alternative fuel companies, which has led him to develop algorithms for evaluating the valuations of disruptive companies to invest in.
