As Country Manager, Joe Strolz oversees Snap Inc.’s business in Canada, tuning the resources of a global company to support the unique needs of the Canadian market.
Snapchat is the camera used by over 150 million people every day to Snap with family, watch Stories from friends, see events from around the world, and explore expertly curated content from top publishers.
Over more than 20 years, Joe’s experience has included the worlds of enterprise and brand marketing, agency, and publishing/broadcasting, always with a focus on technology. This broad experience has afforded Joe unique insight into the business needs and challenges of marketers, agencies, publishers, and broadcasters, as they confront the changing expectations of consumers and audiences in a digital world.
In his previous role as Head of Americas for AOL, Joe led the regional expansion of the business across Canada and LATAM. Prior to this regional leadership role, Joe led the Canadian business of AOL as well as the complex global integration of Microsoft’s advertising business into AOL, resulting in the successful unification of people, process, platforms, and tools across 9 countries. Before joining AOL, Joe led Microsoft Advertising in Canada, held progressively senior leadership roles at some of Canada’s largest media and technology companies, and most recently finished a two-year post as Chair of IAB Canada’s Board of Directors. Joe remains a Director with the IAB Canada Board, is a Director on the Board of Media City, is a member of the AdWeek LATAM Advisory Council, and participates in a variety of mentorship programs.
Joe holds an MBA from the University of British Columbia and resides in Toronto.
