As a Director of Business Development at Environics Analytics, Emily Anderson helps real estate, retail and restaurant industry clients maximize their impact in their markets and trade areas using insights generated small-area lifestyle and demographic data. Emily has contributed to a variety of technical and consultative initiatives since she joined EA in 2007, most recently leading a team of analysts in its finance and telco practice. She holds a Masters of Spatial Analysis degree from Ryerson University and a bachelor’s degree of economic geography from the University of Toronto. Her research on how geodemographic segmentation can help downtown shopping destinations gain and retain business was published in The Journal of Place Management, winning its award for excellence.
